Navigator Pioneers in Mozambique

Project Mozambique is underway! The Navigator leadership team for Africa has announced that two couples are taking the first bold steps to open a new work in this former Portuguese colony, which is located on the southeast coast of Africa. These open doors are the result of many years of prayer and planning.

One South African couple moved to the capital city Maputo in January 2013. Another expatriate couple is completing training in South Africa, after which they will begin to partner with their South African friends. Both couples will spend about two years studying the language and culture of Mozambique while they develop new relationships.

“They will also be surveying the country to formulate a workable and inspired ministry strategy,” said Navigator leaders in Africa. “Together, they will trust God to raise the first generation of Mozambican Navigator leaders – ‘oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor’ (Isaiah 60). Praying and giving partners in Africa and around the world are fueling this work with their prayers and generosity.”
