What is GSPX?

The global student program experience-Virtual Platform

In response to Covid-19, we quickly moved the Global Student Program (GSP) to an online platform. Despite many challenges and disadvantages of not having an in-person program, we discovered some unexpected strengths of this virtual platform, especially in the way it enabled the GSPers to connect with and minister to one another in real time in the midst of some of their life challenges. With more time to plan, the 2021 Global Student Program eXperience (GSPX) grew to be a more robust eight-week training curriculum with multiple opportunities for the 60 participants and 10 staff to connect virtually across 11 times zones and more than a dozen countries. This was double the number of participants who can be part of the onsite program! Thanks to virtual media platforms, participants previously unable to attend were able to participate in the focused training time. People who could not obtain visas to travel, who needed to continue their work schedule, school requirements or family responsibilities could now be a part of the beauty of the GSP eXperience! This access to training multiplied the disciplemaking efforts around the world and boosts the capabilities of local Navigator ministries in many countries!

What is GSPX?

The Global Student Program eXperience (GSPX) is a unique international Navigator summer training program adapted into a VIRTUAL PLATFORM. God’s blessing through Covid-19 helped us see not only ourselves but the world around us with fresh eyes! Many students, recent graduates, and Navigator staff involved in Navigator ministries across the world are unable to travel to the Glen Eyrie Conference Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado (the international home of The Navigators) to attend the traditional GSP due to visas, work, family, or other constraints. Through GSPX these participants can have a summer of intense growth and immediately apply and live out what they’re learning into their individual and country’s contexts.

What will you do at GSPx?

• Live and learn alongside peers from other cultures as you study God's Word, pray together, and hear from a variety of international Navigator leaders…all on a virtual platform while applying what you’re learning in your contexts in real time!

• Increase your understanding of the Gospel. How it both impacts your own life and reaches all nations will be greatly enhanced.

• Forge life-long friendships with teammates from multiple continents. We aim to have participants from a wide variety of countries, so there is truly a blend of multiple cultures.

• Grow in servant leadership as you learn to adapt to different circumstances that others are dealing with in real time, especially internet and connectivity issues.

• Be on a team for small group Bible Study and for deepening relationships with God and with one another.

What kind of participants are we looking for?

We are looking for participants who have a steady, thriving walk with God and have begun experiencing The Navigator Calling in their lives. They are learning to reach out to others with the Gospel. These are young leaders who desire to be equipped deeply in their walk with God and with skills needed to impact their peers and ministries with the Gospel of Jesus. Though GSPX has more spots available than the traditional GSP, there are still limitations related to quality training that we can offer. Priority acceptance will be given to those involved in a Navigator ministry and are recommended by their Navigator campus or national leader and those who are able to commit to the whole program and to the commitments that are asked of each participant.

Availability:  There are limitations on the number of participants and team leaders, so contact us early if you are interested!

Cost: The program fee is $100.

Please note: This cost does NOT include Internet. Each participant is responsible for internet connectivity on top of program fee. Some financial assistance is available based upon need.
