What is the Holy Spirit saying to us regarding our progress in implementing The Core? What will it take for us to hear God say, “Well done”? Sixty-six Navigator leaders gathered in Cyprus last month to seek answers to those questions. We came away realigned, recommitted, and re-energized.
We were not reviewing or rewriting The Core. We have no sense from God to do so. We were not writing a centralized strategy. We were not ranking various aspects of The Core against one another.
We were simply seeking God together and giving him a fresh opportunity to guide us in implementing what he’s already said so clearly. He highlighted about a dozen aspects of The Core for special attention during this next season.
We were not composing any new guiding documents in Cyprus, but we were experiencing the leading and empowering of the Holy Spirit in a fresh experience that we hope will become a prevailing experience across our Worldwide Partnership. Navigators around the world need to put up our sails so that the wind of the Spirit will carry us along in God’s purposes for us.
At the same time, we need to continue to deepen the keel of our depth in the Scriptures. The Core was birthed in a generation saturated with the Scriptures. As we entrust The Core to the next generation, they will need that same deep keel in the growing crosswinds of the world around us. We will need the wisdom of the Holy Scriptures and of the Spirit of Truth to guide us through the unfamiliar paths ahead.
We are Navigators after all, helping our people to navigate the turbulent seas of our world. Please pray for our field leaders around the world as they take the rudder to steer Navigator ministries in their regions, countries, and local contexts into the ongoing fulfillment of our Calling, Values, and Vision with a fresh wind of the Spirit in their sails.
